Location: This property is pure luxury, located on the beachfront at Koggala on Sri Lankas South coast the fortress has just 49 rooms many amenities. The Fortress is located 30 minutes from the town of Galle, Sri Lankas ancient town full of legend, history and beauitful sites.
Description: The Fortress stands on the beachfront of Koggala in the South of Sri Lanka, it is around 30 minutes away from the ancient town of Galle where guests can spend days and evenings exploring the historical sites, reef-protected bay and dine in the local restaurants.
By day in the Fortress guest can spend hours de-stressing by in the spa, pool or doing yoga.
In there is a choice between the 2 specialty restaurants and bars. Which offer East and west cuisine, fine wines and cocktails. There is also a tea lounge for modern teas.
Accommodation: There are many different rooms at the fortress, each specially design with their own little touches. The fortress room offers air conditioning, television, telephone, DVD player, minibar, tea/coffee, bath, shower and balcony or terrace over looking the gardens. The ocean view rooms are on upper floors with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean. The beach rooms are on the beacfront and have a terrace with view towards the sands. For larger accommodation opt for the two floor ocean lofts with separate living room, indoor plunge pool and a sea view balcony. The fortress residences with pools are also available on a request.
Our Opinion: You can't better than the fortress for Luxury in Sri Lanka. Each guest is catered for to the high standard. The design of the Property is both warm and welcoming and the interior is a mixture of Dutch and Portuguese styles which have a certain historic feel to the place.
