Location: Papillon by Rex rests upon Reduit Beach, a gorgeous stretch of sand, perfect for enjoying a good book or getting involved in one of the many watersports. The resort is also just 8 miles from the bustling capital Castries and 5 miles from the airport.
Description: The Papillon by Rex offers great beachfront accommodation with an excellent array of facilities. It has a relaxed but upbeat ambience and the service is superb.
If you’re after relaxation then spend your days on the beach or around the pool deck, with its beautiful butterfly-shaped pool, whirlpool and bar. If you’re more active then the hotel has its own fitness centre, tennis courts and provides guests with a variety of non-motorised watersports. As Papillon guests you are also welcome to try the two adjacent resorts, St Lucian and the luxurious Royal. The hotel can also arrange water ski-ing, deep sea fishing trips, scuba diving, massage treatments, horse riding and golf, all payable locally.
Nights at Papillon are an opportunity to try some island flavours in the buffet-style Monarch restaurant; the Clippers Bar & Grill serves lunch and afternoon snacks whilst your evenings can be spent sipping cocktails at Diaderm Lounge or Admiral’s Lounge. Or you can take in some uniquely St Lucian entertainment in the Tropigala lounge. For more variety, guests can also enjoy entertainment at St Lucian and Royal or receive a credit to dine at one of their many restaurants.
Accommodation: All the rooms offer spacious and comfortable accommodation, and come with an array of amenities, as shown below. This includes a king-size bed or 2 twins, and a balcony or terrace with all standard rooms providing a garden view. Superior Rooms offer additional amenities such as a bath, hairdryer and TV. Beachfront Rooms, as well as providing a beachfront view, also boast a fridge and an integral sitting area.
Our Opinion: For a 3-star resort the hotel provides excellent accommodation and a wide array of facilities to keep you entertained, excellent value for money and well worth the visit.
