Location: Onguma Tented Camp is situated on the eastern side of Etosha, just a small drive from Makuti airstrip.
Description: Based in 20,000 hectares of private wilderness, Onguma is the ideal site to be based whilst on safari. Situated next to a waterhole so guests can watch the animals whilst having a refreshing drink themselves, there is also a swimming pool and open-sided lounge and dining room.
The chefs offer both traditional African and European cuisine, before inviting guests to gather round the campfire for a nightcap in the evening.
The Onguma reserve offers fantastic opportunities to go on game drives, visit the nearby waterholes and drive further afield into Etosha National Park. Within Onguma itself, you may even be able to see the six endangered black rhino, which were transported from Etosha and are currently being monitored within the Onguma reserve.
Accommodation: There are seven luxury tents, all overlooking the waterhole. Each has indoor and outdoor private showers and a verandah.
