Location: Nestled at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, in the south east of Kenya, Amboseli National Park is around 270km from Nairobi.
Description: Ol Tukai Lodge proudly claims that it is “the best place in the world to watch elephants”.
Opened in 1996, the lodge is a more luxurious resort, with experts from Elephant Research regularly giving talks, as well as the availability of game drives, bird watching, entertainment from Maasai tribesmen, a swimming pool and a gift shop. An open air bar overlooking Kilimanjaro and a pool bar means you’re never a few feet away from a refreshing cocktail or soft drink.
The dining room opens out onto a verandah, so you can watch the elephants in their natural habitat whilst having your meal.
