Location: Tsavo National Park is situated just over 300km south east of Nairobi, almost midway between Nairobi and Mombasa.
Description: The first game viewing lodge in Kenya, Kilgauni Serena is located only 100 metres from a watering hole, boasting a first class view of the local wildlife.
The lodge has its own swimming pool and its own airstrip, allowing guests to travel freely around Kenya, seeing all it has to offer.
Tsavo National Park is all about lions, being featured in films. To take advantage of the Park’s feline inhabitants, the dining room at the Kilaguni Serena looks out over the vast plains. The cuisine itself is a wonderful mix of both Kenyan and international delicacies.
Accommodation: There are 53 guest rooms, all with ensuite and verandahs.
Our Opinion: A small, honest lodge, Kilaguni Serena is The place to stay if it’s lions you’ve come to see. Its useful airstrip means it is an ideal base from which to explore Kenya.
