Location: Baobab Beach Resort boasts a clifftop location, overlooking Diani beach and out to the Indian Ocean. It is situated around an hour south of Mombasa and its airport.
Description: Fully renovated in 2005, the resort added an additional wing in 2008, including leisure facilities, restaurants and a spa. Offering various sporting and safari programmes, it’s an ideal way to mix both a leisure and safari holiday.
Baobab Beach Resort was the winner of the 2006 and 2007 TUI Environmental Champion Award, actively protecting the forest ecosystem surrounding it and using solar power as well as utilising eco-friendly sewage disposal and water recycling systems.
For the active tourist, in addition to the safari programmes, there is a wide range of activities available including aquafit classes, archery, golf, sailing and big game fishing. There are live shows by the pool every evening and an outdoor disco as well as a fully equipped gym with trained instructor to make sure you work off those pounds after eating chef’s delicious meals.

Accommodation: A larger hotel, Baobab has 239 rooms, ranging from comfortable hotel rooms to deluxe bungalows. Views are of the sea, gardens or pool and all rooms have king size or twin beds, ensuite shower, a balcony or terrace, interconnecting rooms for families and air conditioning. Deluxe rooms also include satellite TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
