Location: Located on the east coast, Gran Bahía Príncipe Punta Cana rests upon a soft white sandy beach. Enclosed within tropical gardens, it’s just 35 minutes from Punta Cana airport, 90 minutes from La Romana airport and 60 minutes from the town of Higüey. Walking distance from the resort is a shopping complex with a range of bars, restaurants, fast food outlets and boutiques.
Description: This resort provides the ultimate tropical retreat; it rests upon a magnificent powdery white beach, has large lagoon style pools and provides an excellent entertainment programme with an unrivalled array of facilities. Guests can expect an excellent standard of service within a relaxing but upbeat environment.
Spend your days enjoying the beach or relax by one of the 3 large lake-style pools with fountains; sip a cocktail at the swim up bar or simply take a dip in to the Jacuzzi. There are spacious solariums and gardens with sunshades and lounges, and the hotel provides a towel service at the pools and beach. For those with children the hotel provides a supervised kids-club and has a children’s section in the pool. For the active guests there’s a long list of sports to get involved in, including tennis, basketball, football, volleyball, mini golf, an aquatic activity centre, sub aqua centre, fitness centre and spa. You can take part in motor and wind-powered water sports including, windsurfing, catamarans, kayaks, sunfish sailing, banana boats and scuba lessons. There’s also a daily entertainment programme which has various sports lessons, dance lessons, aerobics classes, plus much more. If you’re a keen golfer there are 4 courses, 2 of which are only 15 minutes away.
When it comes to dining and entertainment the hotel has a wide selection of restaurants and bars to choose from. A buffet style restaurant serves a wide selection of international and local cuisine; 6 a la carte restaurants include Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Seafood, Steakhouse and French Gourmet (reservations and dress code apply). There are many bars offering snacks and a wide range of drinks so you can choose how and where you spend your evenings. A nightly entertainment programme includes a theatre providing a range of shows, live music, a casino and a nightclub!
The all-inclusive package includes: buffet-style meals and evening a la carte (3 visits per week), snacks 24 hours, soft drinks 24 hours, domestic brands and selected international alcoholic beverages, including beer, spirits and house wine with dinner 24-hours. All sports and activities are included except the scuba school, golf, spa and casino (free entry drinks).
Accommodation: The suites are in villa style accommodation sleeping 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, with 2 double beds or 1 king-size bed. Bathrooms have an oval Jacuzzi bath/shower and rooms are fitted with mini-bar restocked daily, have a terrace, lounge area and all the amenities as below.
Our Opinion: This resort offers everything you could possibly need to keep you entertained. A great choice for an all-inclusive holiday in an amazing location.
