Location: This resort is located in the Juan Dulio region, close to the capital of Santo Domingo, resting upon the world renowned Villas del Mar beach. It has a shopping centre nearby and a casino.
Description: This first class hotel is one of the most prestigious hotels in the Dominican Republic, providing superb cuisine, comfortable accommodation, top quality facilities all in the most picturesque of settings.
With a stunning soft white sandy beach and 2 swimming pools, you can choose where you spend your days relaxing. If you fancy a day of pampering, the hotel has a full spa facility and beauty salon. For the more active guests there’s a gymnasium, tennis courts, a mini-golf course, a range of motorised and non-motorised water sports, a range of land sports, bicycles and a daytime entertainment programme. Other facilities include a games room, currency exchange, car rental, shops, a supermarket and a range of tours arranged by the resort.
When it comes to dining there are 2 buffet style restaurants, 2 a la carte style restaurants, a snack bar and 5 bars to choose from. The all inclusive package includes; buffet style meals, all snacks, soft drinks and local alcoholic beverages until 2am (including cocktails, beer and wine with meals). Also included is the use of all non-motorised water sports (each an hour per day), all day and night time entertainment activities, use of all the hotel facilities and any tips. Additional charges apply to spa and beauty treatments, room service, the mini bar, scuba diving, imported drinks, laundry services, and motorised water sports.
Accommodation: All the accommodation is modern in décor, spacious and comfortable. The standard amenities are all below and include amazing sea-views and a balcony or terrace. There are a number of room upgrades available, deluxe rooms, superior rooms and standard suites offer more space and more luxurious furnishings. The honeymooner suites boast a jacuzzi, solarium and king-size bed.
Our Opinion: On the best beach in the Dominican, has everything you need and the capital, which is definitely worth exploring, is nearby. The food is grea but please bear in mind that a la carte is not included in the all-inclusive rate.
