Canary Island Holidays The weather on these islands due to their location is mainly hot. High factor sun cream is a must on any holiday. There is very little rainfall across the year and the temperature has gone over 35 degrees C during the July to October period. During the day on these islands you can relax on the fantastic beaches or for the adventurous visit the local villages and towns around the islands. You will come across some excellent beaches and inland some quaint villages with amazing local restaurants. There is usually a restaurant that serves home reared produce as a speciality. To see more of the island take a tour or enjoy a boat trip, with a chance of seeing whales and dolphins. Water parks are a good day out for the family. In the evening you will find a variety of restaurants and entertainment, ranging from fine dining restaurants to lively bars and discos. The shops are open until late and local stalls selling handmade goods along the beach front. Look for local fiestas happening in the area when you visit, these are great to experience and plenty of fun for the whole family. The Golf courses are fantastic over here. •Scuba diving lessons. Learn amongst the fishes not the local swimming pool. •Water parks. Great fun for the whole family. •Festivals. See what the locals get up to and join in the fun. The food on the Canaries is fresh produce locally grown and reared by the farmers in villages close to the resorts also imported from Spain. Fresh fruit, vegetables, seafood and meat is a very Mediterranean affair. The Canarian people have a fantastic selection of wines and enjoy Coffee daily. Most local restaurants have canary potatoes and local soups that have to be tried. Venture into a petrol station and you will find excellent Tapas and local dishes served all day. There are English bars around serving our most famous exports Guinness and Danish bacon if that is what you prefer. |
